  The hike to the Root Glacier was fantastic! Our guides were very knowledgeable and helpful on and off the glacier, facilitating enjoyable group dynamics, giving us good safety tips, and patiently fielding all my questions. Even though we might have been able to walk the glacier on our own, it wouldn’t have been nearly as rich or educational of an experience.

  If 1000 stars was an option they would get 10000! This is the best guide service I have ever used. Cooper (Cupper if you are from the south), was incredible. Passionate, knowledgable, engaging and a true pro. He made are day beyond memorable. Thank you sir! Best of the best excursion was the glacier hike. DO IT!

  My family of 5 spent 5 days with Kennicott Wilderness Guides. This is a top notch outfitter. KWG spent ample time creating the best itinerary for our family and handled all of the logistics to make it happen for us. There wasn't a single misstep in our itinerary or excursions. The ice climbing was a highlight for the kids and us adults. The 3 day backcountry camping trip was the highlight of our entire 2 week vacation in Alaska. We were in great hands with our guide, Katie. She kept us safe, well fed, and was lots of fun. It was a once and a lifetime experience hiking and playing in swimming holes in the remote wilderness of Alaska. I highly recommend visiting Wrangle St. Elias National Park for an off the beaten path experience and letting KWG lead your trip. This outfitter is outstanding!
